FCC is a part of the “Restoration Movement” that began in the early 19th century as a plea to get back to the Bible.  FCC is a Non-denominational independent Christian Church..

First Christian Church is an independent church whose only creed is Christ. We are part of a historical brotherhood known as the Restoration Movement that desires fellowship with all who acknowledge Christ as Lord. Our members have come from various backgrounds and doctrinal persuasions. Still, we have oneness in Christ that binds us together in a love so strong that it does not allow us to be separated over differences of opinion or interpretation of Scripture. This church is committed to being no respecter of persons. It is a church for everyone. It turns away no seeker after God. All those whose trust and confidence in Christ have become actualized in obedience will find an open heart, an open communion table, and a warm welcome in our fellowship. To all doubters, all seekers, all who long to find meaning and purpose for their life, and to those desiring to find answers to perplexing questions - questions so vital that no lasting peace can be known until they are settled - we say, "Come, let us reason together."

What is the Church?

What is the Church?

Our Aim
Are you looking for a place to get connected? Explore the possibilities at FCC! FCC is a place where you will be welcomed and accepted. At FCC, we seek to change lives by connecting people with Christ. The path we take to facilitate that vision is to connect people through worship, relationships, learning, and encouraging people to put their faith in action.
Our Mission

The Mission of FCC is to glorify God, to reach those without a relationship with Jesus Christ with the Gospel, and to equip all to share the Gospel of Jesus with others. Our Mission includes helping Christians to achieve a mature faith in Christ.

Our Vision

The vision of FCC is to be a consistently growing church where people from all walks of life can experience the love of Jesus. As part of our vision, we strive to be a church that challenges and encourages people to have a growing and active faith.

Our Focus

Changing lives by connecting people with Christ.

Our Heart

When asked by the religious leaders about the greatest commandment, Jesus replied in Matthew 22:37-38, "Jesus said to him, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment." Matthew 22:37–38 (NET 2nd ed.) We believe that if Jesus said these two things are of the greatest importance, so should we. Therefore, we have a heart for God and a heart for people!

What We Believe

What We Believe

At FCC, we are driven by a set of core values by which we operate as a church. Without our core values, we would be another club instead of a church of Jesus. These values are non-negotiable and are the foundation of First Christian Church. The following is a list of some of the core values of FCC.

1.  We believe that God desires a relationship with all people; therefore, we will strive to connect people with Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:4)

2. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son and Savior of the world. (John 3:16 · Matthew 1:18 · John 20:24-31)

3. We believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven, the only name by which one can be saved; therefore, we need to be intentional in our outreach efforts since we know that without Jesus, people will be lost for eternity. (John 14:6)

4. We believe Jesus loves everyone, although not everyone will go to heaven. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Rom 3:23; therefore, one must accept Jesus to be saved. (Accepting Jesus is done by placing one’s faith in Jesus, repenting of one’s sin, confessing Jesus as Lord, and being baptized (immersed) into Jesus). FCC will show the love of Jesus with whom we come in contact. (Acts 2:42-ff; Romans 3:23)

5. We believe that salvation (the forgiveness of sins) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (his death on the cross. (Matthew 26:28 · Romans 5:8-11 · Ephesians 2:8-9)

6. We believe the Bible teaches that the pattern to follow to receive Jesus as Savior is to believe in Christ as God's Son and Savior of the world, repent of personal sin, confess Christ as Lord, and be immersed in Christ (baptism). (Luke 24:45-47 · Acts 2:38 · Romans 6:1-7 · 2 Peter 3:9)

7. We believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant word; therefore, we will preach and teach the Word of God with passion, looking to be accurate to the text. We strive to preach and teach the Word with the passion and in the spirit that it was meant to be presented. We will not force man’s traditions to become God’s Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 4)

What to expect when you come to FCC

If you are a first-time guest at FCC, here are a few things you will want to know.

Will I feel out of place?  NO WAY! When you enter the doors of FCC, you will be warmly welcomed and joyfully accepted. We have new guests almost every week at FCC. Jesus loves you, and so do we!

Will I have to stand up and introduce myself during the service? NO WAY! We would not want to embarrass you that way. We do WANT you to come back! Plenty of people will introduce themselves to you!

How should I dress? At FCC, we focus not on what you wear. Most of those who come to FCC wear casual attire. You will see more formal attire in our traditional service (8:30 a.m.).

Do I have to fill out any information cards? You do not HAVE to fill out one of our Connection Cards, BUT if you do, we will make a few promises to you. We will NOT knock at your door (UNLESS you ask us to). We will NOT sell your information to any telemarketing firms (even IF you ask us to). We will NOT swamp you with mail. We WILL send you a card and an email from the Church if you fill out your Connection Card!

Tell me about the Worship Services Sunday Morning Worship Services - Our 8:30 worship service is filled with hymns and ahoruses. The piano and keyboard lead our music! This service runs for approximately one hour. 10:45 AM- Our 10:45 worship service features many of the new songs of the faith, along with modern praise and worship songs. The Worship Band leads the music in this service. This service runs for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Sunday Evening Life Groups During February to April and September-November. FCC has Life Groups! Life Groups are small group ministries where you will have the opportunity to grow closer to Jesus, and you will get to grow closer to others who are a part of FCC!

What about my Children? We provide a Family Worship Room for parents who want to use the room. The room features privacy glass and is wired for sound. During the 10:45 Worship Service, we also provide a "Wee Worship" service for children ages 2-4. For those who have older children (ages 5 to 4th grade), we provide "Kid's Way Worship" service during our Contemporary service (10:45 a.m.). Kids Way Worship brings worship to their level children can understand.

We also offer a Wee Worship program for children ages 2-4 during the 10:45 a.m. service. We have Open Life Groups (Sunday School) at 9:45 a.m. We offer a youth group at 6 p.m. each Sunday evening for those with teenagers. We will staff the nursery during our Life Groups and our Wednesday evening adult Bible Study when needed!

Do I HAVE to give? If you feel led to give financially to the mission of FCC, you can do so through electronic giving or the offering boxes provided in the Sanctuary. As a guest, we do not expect you to participate in the offering unless you feel led. Members and regular attendees are encouraged to fund the ministries of FCC.

Anything else I need to know? At FCC, we take communion each Sunday, as was the early church tradition. We practice open communion, which means that even if you are not a "member" of FCC, you are welcome to take communion if the Lord leads you to do so.

During the service, we will have music, prayers, a message, announcements, offerings, communion, and an invitation time. The invitation time is when a person who wants to become a Christian can come forward and be immersed (baptized) into Christ. It is also a time to come up for prayers if there is something they want the church to pray for or if a person wishes to place membership with FCC.
